Sandblasting Primer

Sandblasting, glass bead blasting is a process whereby pressurized air is directed through a nozzle. A venturi is created at the nozzle that picks up the sandblasting media, be it glass bead or sand. It mixes with air and is directed through the air to a part held within a sealed glass bead cabinet. Windows on the blast cabinet allow work to be seen. A vacuum pulls out microscopic fractured particles of the glass beads. Glass bead blasting and sandblasting are used for rust and paint removal as well as for anodizing prep, paint prep, weld prep and much more.
